Stitching and build quality are pretty solid for the price range. Seams are straight, no loose threads on mine, and the zipper is smooth and feels reliable. The button doesn’t feel cheap either. After a couple of machine washes at 30°C (as recommended), the colour barely changed and the fabric didn’t go limp. No weird twisting of the legs, which I’ve had with cheaper jeans. They came out of the wash still looking like actual jeans, not like worn-out jeggings.

One thing to keep in mind: with that much elastane, heat and aggressive washing will kill them faster. I wouldn’t go over 30°C or throw them in a hot dryer. Not the most breathable jeans on earth, but for everyday wear they’re decent and feel like they can handle regular use without falling apart quickly.

Durability is where you can see the difference between these Replay jeans and cheaper pairs. After several weeks of use and a few washes, there’s no obvious sign of wear: no thinning at the inner thighs, no loose seams, no weird stretching at the knees. The fabric still feels firm and supportive. The stitching lines are straight and tight, especially around stress areas like pockets, crotch, and waistband. That gives me the impression they’ll last longer than the average budget skinny jeans that start to deform after a month.

The zipper is another point: on mine, it’s smooth and doesn’t feel flimsy. I’ve had no issues with it slipping down or getting stuck. The button at the waist is solid and doesn’t feel like it’s about to pop off when you close them, even on a snug fit. Belt loops are well anchored; I pulled on them a couple of times when adjusting the jeans and they didn’t feel weak. These small details matter over time because that’s often where jeans fail first.

On the fabric side, the high elastane content always carries some risk: stretchy jeans can lose recovery faster if you mistreat them. That means if you constantly wash them hot or throw them in the dryer, they’ll probably age badly. With normal care (30°C, inside out, no dryer), they seem to hold up well so far. The colour has barely faded, and there’s no pilling or rough patches. The denim still has a nice, consistent surface.

Of course, I can’t claim multi-year experience yet, but compared to other skinnies I own in a similar price range, these feel at least as sturdy, if not a bit better. If you rotate them with other jeans and don’t torture them in the wash, I can see them lasting several seasons without falling apart. So on durability, I’d say: pretty solid for the price, with the usual caveat that stretch jeans need reasonable care to keep their shape.

In real life, the main thing I look for in jeans is: do they keep their shape, do they stay in place, and do they survive normal abuse? On that front, the Replay Luzien did a pretty solid job. Over several days of wear between washes, they didn’t bag out dramatically at the knees or bum. There was a tiny bit of loosening, but nothing that made them look sloppy. The waistband stayed put, no sliding down, and I didn’t constantly need to pull them up, which is a huge plus for skinny jeans.

Movement-wise, the high stretch really helps. I wore them for a full day that included commuting, stairs, carrying shopping bags, and sitting on the floor to play with a friend’s kid. That said, they’re still just skinny jeans, nothing revolutionary in terms of style. If you already own a decent high-waist skinny, these won’t blow your mind, but they’re a solid option if you like the Replay fit.
